Krispy KremeDoughnut maker Krispy Kreme is rolling out a new Christmas version of the famous treat which will be available across stores from 1 December.

On the shelves for just one month over the Christmas season, the new "Mince Pie" doughnut is filled with sweet fruit mincemeat and topped off with white icing and a candy holly leaf.

This Christmas, Krispy Kreme will also offer a range of collectables such as hats, t-shirts, travel mugs and gift vouchers.

A mince pie doughnut will cost £1.10 and a box will be £7.95.

Last month Krispy Kreme teamed up with chef Marco Pierre White to produce a "designer doughnut" in order to raise funds for disabled charity Leonard Cheshire who was chosen as the company's charity of the year.

Following the success of the Italian inspired cappuccino filled doughnut, Krispy Kreme is aiming to feature a designer doughnut every year in aid of a charity.

Krispy Kreme, who recently appointed former Mission Foods marketing manager Judith Denby, launched in the UK in 2003 and has a policy of not advertising but instead promoting itself to communities by offering fundraising tools.
