This course is ideal if you’re an artist, designer or creative professional who’s thinking about self-employment or who’s already taken the plunge. Alison Branagan will help you maximise your potential in the visual arts sector by guiding you through the basics of setting up your own business.
During eight weekly workshops, you’ll develop your enterprise and negotiation skills and learn about self-promotion and networking, while gaining an understanding of your rights. The vagaries of taxation will be demystified and you’ll engage in critical debate on the key legal issues facing your particular venture.
