ITV online chief quits broadcaster
Head of ITV broadband and managing director of itv.com Annalies Van Den Belt is stepping down after just over a year in the position.
ITV has recruited lastminute.com co-founder Dominic Cameron to be acting MD of itv.com. Van Den Belt is leaving to join Russian online media company SUP as Russian general manager.
Van Den Belt (pictured) joined itv.com in January last year and is a former Telegraph Group new media director. She joined Telegraph Group from the position of digital director at Times Newspapers at News International.
Cameron has lengthy experience in online technology and has worked with BBC News Online and upmystreet.com. ITV will recruit for a permanent replacement for Van Den Belt over the next few months.
ITV has invested heavily in its online offerings and initiatives and is preparing to launch on-demand service “Project Kangeroo” together with BBC Worldwide and Channel 4.
The service is expected to debut in August offering recent programming and archive content.
