Coffeedate launches poster campaign
Online dating site coffeedate.com is launching a national poster campaign to drive singletons to the site to register.
The campaign was created by iris Manchester and introduces the strapline ‘How do you like yours?’
The posters, which break this week, are the first advertising activity that the brand has undertaken since its launch in 2005.
Coffeedate.com offers its members the opportunity to meet in the informal setting of local coffee shops, the dating site ensures they feel safe, relaxed and can easily fit introductions into their busy schedules.
The posters are featured in and around coffee shops across the UK following a trial in the Bath and Bristol, which saw weekly registrations on the coffeedate.com site increase by 30 per cent.
Pete Armstrong, creative director of iris Manchester, added: "The online dating industry is bigger and more competitive than ever before. And with more people looking for love it doesn't carry the stigma it once had. All in all, perfect timing for us to carve out a niche for coffeedate.com and give the brand its own unique tone of voice."
According to coffeedate.com, the singles market is rapidly increasing in the UK, currently standing at 12 million and predicted to increase to 16 million in 2010.
With the stigma of online dating decreasing, introductory services are becoming an increasingly popular with more than three out of every five UK singles using online dating services.
Earlier this month rival site Match.com appointed Initiative to its £8 million media planning and buying account as it looks to increase media investment to support its ambitious growth targets.
