Ocean Village launches £1 million campaign
Cruise brand Ocean Village is launching a £1 million television, print and radio campaign in support of its 2009 programme next week.
The TV creative again features the voice of former Eastender and Redcaps actress Tamzin Outhwaite. It launches on ITV1 in the Yorkshire, Granada, Central and meridian regions next Monday (15 September).
The ad focuses on Ocean Village as “the cruise for people who don’t do cruises” and features a £599 lead price for a week’s fly-cruise in the Mediterranean. The animated ad features a Caribbean beach scene shifting to a jeep safari then a café table and gondola in Venice.
It features a Text call to action that promotes booking with The Co-Operative Travel and Harvey World Travel.
The activity also includes a six week campaign in midmarket and quality newspapers and a direct mail posting to more than 250,000 new and existing customers.
The campaign was devised in-house in partnership with production house Tigervision.
Head of marketing Gill Haynes says: “On the back of our first two TV ad campaigns in January and June this year, sales have increased significantly in the key regions and prompted ad awareness has made a quantum leap … we’re looking to build on this success with an autumn push.”
