Gap narrows between London freesheets
The gap has narrowed slightly between London’s two free newspapers in April, according to the latest ABC figures.
Associated Newspaper’s London Lite trailed rival thelondonpaper by 98,630 last month, compared with a lead of 105,159 for the News International title in March.
London Lite, posted a 1.68 per cent increase in distribution to 402,281 compared with a 0.02 per cent increase to 500,911 for rival thelondonpaper.
Associated Newspaper’s paid for publication The Evening Standard saw its distribution drop one per cent from 284,030 in March to 281,187 last month.
Metro, the free morning newspaper from Associated Newspapers, saw its aggregated distribution across all cities up by 0.57 per cent to 1,360,685. In London the newspaper saw its distribution up by .65 per cent to 747,006 in April.
City AM, the free morning newspaper for the financial community saw distribution rise 2.68 per cent in April up to 99,905 creeping closer to the 100,000 plus it registered last November.
