magnersMagners Irish Cider is targeting hair salons and health clubs with marketing activity for its new Magners Light low calorie cider.

The bespoke campaigns in London support the recent London television advertising campaign for the drink created by Euro RSCG with media planning and buying by MPG.

Central London fitness chains, including LA Fitness, David Lloyd, Esporta and Cannons, will display six sheet Magners Light ads across 62 clubs in total. The campaign includes mirror vinyls and women’s locker posters.

In addition, up to 111 hair and beauty salons, including Trevor Sorbie and Headmasters will show the new TV ad on interactive I-Vu screens in the salons and Magners Light Pos will also be displayed.

Magners brand manager Richard Barnes said: “The gym and salon campaigns continue to highlight Magners Light as a great tasting new low calorie option. Following the Light television ad launch we wanted to offer continuous and sustained support through other, less conventional media channels.”

Magners Light has 28 kcal per 100ml and has the same alcohol strength as Magners Original at 4.5 per cent.
