Kimber takes top data role at SFW

CarolineKimberFormer Wegener DM marketing director Caroline Kimber has joined Stephens Francis Whitson as head of data planning.

Kimber, who left Wegener two weeks after it was bought by DLG as part of a senior management exodus, has been tasked with building the agency’s data planning capability.

Before joining Wegener, Kimber was vice president of CACI. She joined joined CACI in 1990, becoming director of direct marketing and financial services, and helping create LifestylesUK and several other data products. She was elected vice-chairman of the DMA’s data council in 2004, and is the council’s longest-serving member.

SFW planning partner Chris Whitson says: “Hiring someone of Caroline’s calibre demonstrates how seriously we believe a sound strategic data planning offer is core to our business. Her experience and ability will be a huge asset to our planning function.”

The appointment marks the completion of the senior team at the agency following the promotion of Matt Conner to client services director, Mel Stanley to head of account planning, and Simon Panton and Terence Bly to the roles of head of art and copy respectively.
