HMRCIris London has been appointed by the Central Office of Information (COI) to handle a campaign for HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) as it attempts to communicate a range of Government entitlements available to new parents.

Iris was appointed following a competitive pitch. As part of the brief, the agency will develop partnerships with a number of brands and organisations to communicate the entitlements, which include Child Benefit, Child Trust Fund, Child Tax Credits and the newly introduced Health in Pregnancy Grant.

The campaign will use a range of channels including digital, experiential, print, sales promotion, PR and ambient advertising in an attempt to help new parents provide better financial futures for their children.

Head of marketing communications at HMRC Simon Vessey comments: “Iris demonstrated a great understanding of how to communicate multiple products to diverse audiences with varying degrees of knowledge. By building on existing relationships and harnessing the power of advocacy, we’re able to get parents’ attention and provide them with the tools to give their child the best start in life”.

Managing director of iris London Steve Bell adds: “We’re delighted to be appointed to this important piece of business and look forward to developing engaging campaigns that help parents navigate their way around the financial support available to them and their children”.

Iris currently works on Tax Credits for HMRC in a partnerships capacity.
