Glasson has been chief operating officer at Gyro since 2002 working alongside Brine.
Glasson has also led the acquisition programme for Gyro, which has seen eight new companies added to the group over the past two years in addition to the openings in Dubai and Madrid during the same period.
In addition, Richard Perry has been promoted to chief operating officer. Perry has been at Gyro since 1995, most recently as vice president of EMEA and managing director of the group’s UK and Ireland businesses.
Glasson says: “I am delighted to be taking over as chief executive at this exciting time in Gyro’s history. In January this year we secured new investment of £55m, and we have some exciting new opportunities to continue Gyro’s expansion, in the UK and overseas. 2008 will be yet another record year for the company, and we head into 2009 full of optimism.”
Gary Brine comments: “I wish Richard Glasson every success for the future."
