Steve Redgrave joins brandRapport board
Sir Steve Redgrave has joined brandRapport as chairman of its international advisory board.
The five times Olympic Gold medallist and champion rower will further strengthen the associative marketing and sponsorship’s agency’s Olympic credentials.
Redgrave said: “As an athlete, I relied heavily on the support I received from sponsors and I am looking forward to the challenge of being involved on the sponsorship and sports marketing side as it continues to play an increasingly important role in the development of sport and athletes in this country.”
The agency was bought by QobliQ last December as part of a strategy to set up a network. QobliQ is backed by AIM-listed Ingenious Media Active Capital Ltd (IMAC).
IMAC funded the acquisition of media neutral planning agency Rise Communications last September.
BrandRapport launched in 1982 as Craigie Taylor and became GEM when bought by CSS Stellar in 2002. the senior management carried out an MBO in 2005 and renamed the agency brandRapport.
