USwitch, the price comparison website, has appointed former Orange marketer Steve Weller as director of sales and marketing.

He will replace Christina Rebollo, who previously headed the marketing function and will be leaving the company at the end of this week.

Weller joined uSwitch as head of communications in 2006 and was promoted to head of sales in 2007. He was previously a product manager at Orange.

He will report to uSwitch chief executive Alan Tattersall and will be responsible for overseeing its marketing strategy, which involves the hunt for a new ad agency after incumbent Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy resigned the £6m business last week.
