Turner Broadcasting appoints Barnaby Dawe

Barnaby DaweTurner Broadcasting has recruited former BSkyB marketer and Heart FM managing director Barnaby Dawe to take the position of vice-president of marketing and communications.

Dawe replaces Jo Barlow who left in February. He takes responsibility for Turner brands including Cartoon Network, Boomerang, CN Too and Nuts TV.

Dawe worked at Heart FM for two years and oversaw the implementation of the “Feelgood” hula hoop campaign. He left the network at the same time as brand marketing director Tim Finch after it was bought from Chrysalis by Global Radio.

He was at Sky for five years and held the position director of marketing. He oversaw campaigns for the launch of programmes 24 and Nip/Tuck.

He will report to senior vice president and general manager of Turner Broadcasting UK & Ireland Dee Forbes.
