SMABaby formula company SMA Nutrition has appointed Partners Andrews Aldridge to handle its £2m online and CRM account.

The agency won the pitch - handled by the AAR - against Tullo Marshall Warren (TMW), Tequila and EHS Cirencester.

The agency will be tasked with producing a customer relationship marketing strategy across all of SMA Nutrition’s brands.

In August of last year, there was a call for a ban on all advertising of baby milk, and restrictions on other forms of marketing by baby formula producers. The call was led by children’s charities The National Childbirth Trust, Save The Children, and Unicef.

The law currently states that companies are not allowed to promote formula milk for babies under six months old (precisionmarketing.co.uk)
