WembleyNestlé is to be an official sponsor to the home of English football, Wembley Stadium.

The food giant, which owns the Nescafé, Buxton and KitKat brands, will be the exclusive provider of all confectionary, water, ice-cream and hot beverages at the stadium in a deal that runs until next July.

Nestlé will also have exclusive rights in its category to promote its association with the national stadium.

The Swiss based company joins 10 other official sponsors of the stadium. Other sponsors include Microsoft, UMBRO, Walkers, Carlsberg and Coca-Cola.

Nestlé also has a similar agreement with London concert venue The O2 Arena where it has exclusive rights to sell its brands within the stadium.

David Field, managing director at Nestlé Professional, says the deal provides a good opportunity for the firm within the leisure industry.

“In essence, we’re looking to deliver a holistic business solution that drives growth and success for Wembley.

“This is another significant relationship within the leisure and entertainment sector further demonstrating our commitment and empathy in this exciting, high growth channel.”

Nestlé is reportedly in the process of reviewing its packaging design roster for the first time since 2003.
